On a personal note:

I have been practicing Yoga in some form or another since I was a small girl. My interest and love for Yoga, meditation, and overall health were planted in my heart for as long as I can remember. At a very early age I was doing Yoga asana (postures), handstands, balances and back bends. At that time I was unaware of them as being Yoga asana, but my love of going upside down continues today.

I’ve had a deep yearning for spirituality which, began in my early childhood years growing up in a large Catholic family.  My  journey led me to study many religions, different beliefs and philosophies. I began studying Contemplative Meditation through the writings of Thomas Merton, Anthony De Mello, and Thomas Keating, this led me to begin attending various three and four day silent retreats through the Catholic Faith: Thomas Merton’s Monastic community the Abbey of Gethsemani in Trappist, Kentucky; The Dominican house in Northern Virginia; and the Holy Cross Abbey in Berryville, VA with the Trappist Monks. These teachings inspired a desire to study the ancient Asian beliefs and practices of meditation and a yearning for deeper exploration which, eventually led me to India several times to study Mindfulness Meditation, Yoga, and Ayurveda.

Today I continue to study and embrace the teachings of  Vipassana “Insight” or Mindfulness meditation, and the ancient Eastern~Asian teachings.  My approach to teaching is eclectic and fun and is colored by the knowledge I have gained from my many years of practice and studies. I’ve had the blessing of studying with a vast array of remarkable and diverse teachers. These teachings along with my many years of traveling the world will guide you on a unique journey of self-exploration, inner awareness, and appreciation for the unique gifts, which are lying deep within each of us waiting to be released!

My deepest desire is to bring these beautifully rich teachings of Mindfulness “Insight” meditation, Yoga~ Somatic embodied movements to ALL people without exception, and to offer these ancient healing tools to help others know deep release, peace and ease is available.

Wishing you peace and ease,

Jackie
